The Desert Nomads Golf Club is proud to announce the details of Slyder Cup XXVI. The Slyder Cup Invitational, our annual Ryder Cup-style team event, is heading to Dallas, Texas, marking the first time in Slyder Cup history that this great event will be played in the Lone Star State. After years of Nomads traveling across the country to compete, celebrate, and carry on the tradition, the Slyder Cup now makes its Texas debut. This year brings a fresh chapter with two rookie captains leading their teams into battle. Carson Gardner from Arizona and Alex Belcher from Texas will square off as two young guns ready to bring new energy, pride, and competition to the Desert Nomads’ most meaningful tradition. With the spirit of Texas as the backdrop, Slyder Cup XXVI will embrace the “No Surrender” attitude made famous by the story of The Alamo. Every match, every point, and every putt will carry that same fighting spirit as both teams look to leave their mark on Slyder Cup history. For more than two decades, the Slyder Cup has been about more than golf. It has been about friendship, competition, tradition, travel, and the stories made along the way. As the event makes its first appearance in Texas, Slyder Cup XXVI promises to be another unforgettable chapter for the Desert Nomads Golf Club.

Pre-Tournament

  • July 31st, Fri: Deadline for $500 non-refundable deposit to secure spot.
  • August 31, Mon: Freezing of Handicaps.
  • Sept 5th or 6th, Sat/Sun: 6 PM PT / 8 PM CT Online Draft. Join the Draft or
  • September 14th, Mon: Balance of tournament fee due.

Tournament Week

October 14, Wed
  • House check-in.
  • 1:45 PM: Optional Practice Round (course TBD).
October 15, Thu
October 16, Fri

October 19, Mon
  • Homeward Bound.

Tournament Fee

$TBD Includes:
  • Accommodations for five nights. Team Captains will play a pre-tournament match for choice of team house. Captains get priority for private bedrooms.
  • Dinner and cocktails at the Kickoff Dinner.
  • All four competitive rounds of golf, including green fees, cart fees, taxes, and range balls.
  • Splash for cash (but let's get real, we'll never do it)
  • Annual dues for Nomad membership ($30, excludes optional $45 GHIN sync fee).
  • Dinner and cocktails at the Champions’ Dinner.
  • Team apparel and incidentals.
  • Competition, camaraderie, and lifetime memories.
